Meet Our Board: Fiana Arbab
Fiana Arbab is the current Statewide Youth Organizer and Admin Assistant for the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion. She identifies as a Bangladeshi Muslim American and a proud feminist. She recently graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a double major in Women’s and Gender Studies and Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. In addition to serving as student body President of UM-Dearborn, Fiana was the President and co-founder of the Social Justice League – a campus community organization dedicated to educating and mobilizing students around social justice issues. She serves as a board member for the Michigan Student Power Alliance and APIAVote-MI. Fiana hopes to continue doing work in the future that helps uplift marginalized and oppressed groups through an intersectional transnational feminist analysis, transformative collective organizing, and operating in the global development sector.
