Meet Our Staff: Kevin Tran

Kevin Tran (He/His) is an only child and is a second-generation Vietnamese-American. His parents were Vietnam refugees and met in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He was born there and lived there for 22 years - now with a strong passion for mental health and social justice.

He graduated from Calvin University and is pursuing a Master's in Social Work at the University of Michigan, and is expected to graduate during Summer 2021.

His interests are learning cultures, languages, working with Asian mental health via community outreach and connecting, browsing social media to learn different ethnic backgrounds, and using social media as a tool to empower and advocate for the next generation.

You may also find Kevin around the subtle asian mental health Facebook pages, where he advocates for destigmatizing and normalizing Asian mental health and he also volunteers with the Asian Mental Health Collective.
