Meet Our Board: Manasi Sharma
Manasi currently serves as a board member of United Asian American Organizations, a pan-Asian American coalition at U-M Ann Arbor with 23 Asian affiliation member organizations. This organization also holds relationships with MAASU, Midwest Asian American Students Union, as well as a variety of faculty, staff, and administrative members at the University of Michigan—particularly concentrated in the Ethnic Studies Department.
She is also a member of the student, faculty, staff, and administration Covid-19 Response Task Force that aims to address growing anti-Asian rhetoric in the face of Covid-19. As a group, they have also met with Rob Sellers, Chief Diversity Officer U-M, Human Rights Commission-Ann Arbor representatives, and members of the Healthy Asian American Project.
Additionally, Manasi is a member of Michigan Businesswomen, Asian Consortium for Economic Development, Live in Color, and the Vice President of the APEX Consulting Group—all of which are student organizations at U-M Ann Arbor.
