Youth Leadership Core

Picture

What is YLC?

Youth Leadership: YLC is a program tailored to the cultural and developmental needs of APIA youth. The objective is to ignite a spark in each member that gives them better understanding of their identity and how this connects to how they can positively impact society.

Leadership Development- YLC will attend trainings, summits and conferences that build leadership skills. Members will be able to walk away from these events with tangible tools and new knowledge that will become a base of how to strengthen their communities.

Civic Engagement- YLC will encourage members to mobilize voting rights of the APIA community, through a nonpartisan perspective.

2020 Cohort Application

Hear from our past YLC members:

"YLC THREW ME INTO AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE I WAS FORCED TO QUESTION MY IDENTITY AS AN APIA, AND ULTIMATELY HELPED ME DISCOVER THAT I WAS PASSIONATE ABOUT TEACHING OTHER APIA TEENS ABOUT OUR HISTORY" - LEANNA CAMPOS, 2015 COHORT
