Education

At APIAVote-MI, we believe that education is a key to the growth and development of the APIA community. By participating in events that focus on educating people about the APIA identity, civic engagement, narrative storytelling or otherwise, APIAVote-MI hopes to spread awareness about issues impacting the community, and learn something as well.

Our Role in Education

High School Conference is an annual all-day event hosted by the HSC team at the University of Michigan. APIAVote-MI was invited to run a workshop for their conference, "What Does It Mean to be APIA?"

APIAVote-MI's Youth Leadership Core is an intensive program for high schoolers and college students to learn more about the APIA identity and civic engagement. Learn more about it here.

We offer many other workshops for learners of all ages throughout the year, depending on what fits the current community needs. We have held workshops on storytelling, Get Out the Vote work, and more!
